RyanAir daily flights from London -Stansted to Montpellier, Perpignan, and Carcassonne or Luton to Nimes. Or for a leisurely start to your holiday fly to Rodez or Bergerac and drive thro the unspoilt french countryside. www.ryanair.com.

For American visitors, it is possible to fly directly to Nice (3hrs by car), but the recomended route is via London, Frankfurt or Paris with a connecting flight to Montpellier.

Nimes is 90mins .

By Car

Our preferred route is Calais via Rouen, Chartres, Clermont-Ferand and the new spectacular bridge at Millau to save possible summer delays. This route, whilst not the shortest, avoids the Paris BP.

Travel time approx. 10 hours from Calais - Roujan or overnight on the Portsmouth / Le Havre crossing, then a further 9 hours' driving.

Ask for suggestions on routes and overnight stops.

Travel time approx. seven hours from London.

Eurostar from London Waterloo to either Lille or Paris Gare du Nord.
Then TGV from Lille to Beziers or Montpellier,
or TGV from Paris Gare de Lyon to Beziers or Montpellier
